Went for two tours, one with Jan and one with Aris. We were actually only planning on going on one tour, but enjoyed it so much that we booked another one! The guides were absolutely lovely and friendly, with an infectious enthusiasm for Prague. I really enjoyed both tours and learnt so much 🙂
Anna was really awesome (and hilarious!) throughout the whole Prague Castle walk tour. Even though it was raining most of the time, we had a great time and good laugh with her as she tells her story and about the places. We did the Old Town tour with Jan and the Castle district tour with Aris, both lovely guides bringing their unique humour and perspective to each tour. It was great to see Prague through a local's eyes,their insight is not something you can easily find by just doing a quick Google search..! We had originally planned on just exploring on our own, but we're glad we didn't, because we learned so much from Aris and Jan 🩵 Definitely worthwhile to do these tours, and please tip your guide to encourage them to continue sharing their knowledge, so that tourists can have a greater appreciation of the beautiful city that is Prague.
Website is super easy and simple to book a tour. No need to make an account. Just chose the tour, the language and the date and boom, you get an email confirmation. Our Guide Jan was wonderful. He took us through the brief history of Prague and walked us to Wenceslas Square, Church of Lady of the Snows, Old Town Square, Astronomical Clock, Jewish Quarters and Charles Bridge. Throughout the tour, he kept giving us little nuggets of information which can be really helpful in navigating through Prague. Although the tour is technically free, you are expected to pay something to the guide in the end for his efforts. I can easily recommend this tour to anyone for orienting themselves with the city in 2.5 hours.

I ended up taking 3 different tours with Prague Pulse Tours while visiting the city. The Old Town and Castle walking tours, and the food tour. I had Dylan and Lyle as my guides. I really enjoyed the tours - the walking tours went to good spots and there was lots of information about the history of the different sites. The guides were entertaining and knowledgeable. The food tour was good too - obviously you're getting a reasonable amount of food and drink in the price, but also the value from a 2.5 hour guided tour that has selected 3 good places and Czech dishes to try with an informed guide to explain it. I'd recommend it if you're interested in trying Czech food, and particularly as a solo traveller it was a pretty effectibe way to try a few different dishes.
I definitely enjoyed Mel’s good vibes, clear history explanations and her willingness to always answer any questions that may arise! I totally recommend her!

We went on the walking tour on our first day in Prague. Our guide Aris was so engaging and knowledgable that we decided to join the food tour the next day. The walking tour gave us the chance to get our bearings of the city and gave us insights into bits of the city's history. Aris was a brilliant guide and created a comfortable atmosphere where we could ask lots of questions. It's clear he loves Prague and wants to ensure visitors enjoy the city, so made sure to warn us of potential scams, as well as giving reccommendations of where to go. The food tour was brilliant with plenty of food and beer.Both tours we went on were fantastic and I would definitely suggest anyone looking to find out more about Prague with an easy going atmosphere look into these tours

Two and a half hours flew by with Mike. We learned a lot and were entertained the whole time. We also took the food tour in the afternoon with Dylan and learned even more while enjoying classic Czech eats and beer.

Jim, our tour guide for both the free Old Town Walking Tour in the morning and the Prague Castle Tour in the afternoon, is extremely knowledgeable and very funny. Hailing originally from sunny Florida, he speaks perfect English, and as a History major, he shared his deep knowledge of Czech history, which made the tours much more enjoyable.The tours were very well organized and punctual. For groups of 9 or more, there's an upfront charge of 10 euros per person, although if you are a group of 8 or less, the booking is free, and the cost of the tour is paid at the end based on whatever value each person places on the tour.Be aware there's a lot of walking involved, although for the Prague Castle Tour, the short trip up to the Castle from near the Charles River meeting place is done via tram for a cost 30 CZ per person, approximately $1.30 (free for anyone 65 or over). If you are short on time, definitely do the Castle Tour, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the world's largest cathedral. As the tour is free, the visits to the interiors, which require paid tickets, are not included. However, the exteriors and views are amazing, and the Vitus Cathedral is a sight to behold!

We did Castle tour with Mel and Old Town tour with Anna. Both tours were excellent. The girls found a great balance between being informative and teaching us about history while keeping things fun and interesting. The tours lasted for 2.5h and covered a lot of sights. The girls were funny and knowledgeable. At the end of each tour we were offered an online maps with their personal tips so I feel the tour never really ended. We used the maps to select places to eat and were mind blown. Some of the restaurants were tiny « hole in a wall » places we would have never been able to find on our own but were very pleased we did. I highly recommend both girls!

My wife and I took the Old Town tour with Mel and the Castle tour with Mike.We had already visited the Narodni Muzeum and these tours provided the missing info and then some as to how this fascinating city and country have come to be as they are now.Both guides were funny, relatable, loaded with stories and really adept at connecting you with a sense of history and a sense of scale. Their passion for the city shines through.Great restaurant recommendations from both, we had fantastic local and well priced meals in some awesome smaller places after our tours.

Five star tour with Tall Paul!!! This was the first time doing a free tour and it left me only with the best impressions! I did the Old Town tour of Prague. Paul was friendly, professional, informative and very approachable. He made the tour interesting and I learnt many interesting facts about Prague, the country's history and Chech life... I liked the tour so much, I also did the Castle tour the same day. Again very informative and Paul was very careful not to loose any members of the group during our tram venture to the castle and throughout the entire tour. He made himself available to all group members if there were any questions and made everyone feel part of a team. My husband and I did the castle tour with Paul yesterday, we had such a good experience that we are doing the old town/jewish quarter with him today. He was recommended by a couple who had done the food tour the day prior.

She's been living there for several years too and knows a bunch about the city. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the city. Our visit to Prague’s Old Town began with the Astronomical Clock, where our guide shared its intricate workings. She explained how the clock not only tells time but reveals the phases of the moon, the seasons of the year, and many other hidden complexities. It was clear that her knowledge went beyond surface facts.As we moved on, her sensitivity in handling the city’s more somber past, particularly the Holocaust and the Jewish Quarter, was remarkable. She guided us through the museum and historical streets with a thoughtful reverence, ensuring every question was answered with care. Her attention to detail made it both interesting and Informative.

Absolutely loved our walking tour with Andy as our guide. He was enthusiastic, friendly and funny, with not only amazing historical facts but great practical tips about the city too. We did our tour in very hot weather which Andy took into consideration throughout the tour making sure he stopped in shady spots and made sure everyone was comfortable to ask if they needed a break. He was also very open to answering any questions throughout. I couldn't recommend his tour more. Hope this cheers you up when you're sad Andy 😘

I was standing next to a Prague Pulse walking tour by the astronomical clock and Mel was so good at talking about the clock’s history with a little comedy thrown in that I just had to follow along for the rest of the tour. We booked the morning Old Town and Jewish Quarter free walking tour and loved Mike’s (our guide) knowledge and enthusiasm so much, that we booked on his afternoon castle tour before our morning tour was even half way through. Mike knows his stuff about Czech History and the beautiful city of Prague and you really get the vibe that he loves his job and the city. He even came prepared with a backpack of random supplies to ensure everyone was always comfortable (spare umbrella, panadol etc) He was fun, informative and interactive for the entire tour - we were never bored! He made time to interact with all guests personally on the journey between landmarks which was lovely. Beautiful spots visited away from the usual crowded tourist spots, giving perfect photo opportunities + so many useful hints and recommendations provided. Amazing bombshell / surprise at the very end of his Old Town tour which we loved! Thank you Mike - you deserve every 5 ⭐️ rating!!!
We did the Old Town Tour with Ian today and it was great! He shared his knowledge and some great stories with us. It wasn't just some speech he rattled off, but a rather authentic experience where he answered our question and started a dialogue with us. Overall a great experience to get to know the city and it's rich history!

Very informative tour that hits a lot of key areas in the old town and Anna was super lovely. It is a slightly longer tour so be prepared to be on your feet for around 3 hours.

I did both the prague castle and prague old town tour with Ian and both tours were amazing! Even though the tours are quite long (2.5 hours), they feel like 30 minutes. Ian shared many interesting facts and furthermore answered many question that a typcial tourist may have.

This is such a great concept and a really informative tour walking around Old Town. Dylan was amazing and provided heaps of history about this beautiful city. Would highly recommend, otherwise you are just walking around looking at buildings and getting no context!

I'm very picky about tours. Mike's tour was exactly what I was hoping for. Mike was super funny, but also he had a deep connection to and understanding of the history of Prague, and he explained the reason why things happened, the impact they had, and their connection to other points in Prague's history, which is so much better than just getting basic bullet points you could read off a sign.
Nice tour with Mike. He was well-informed and kept up a good speed without going too fast.What's nice about this kind of tours, is that you see the things you saw before, but that you start to understand the feeling of the city.I liked that Mike was also well-informed about the Jewish history of Prague and managed to keep a professional distance from the Czech history as an 'objective' guide instead of only telling the bright sides.

The Old Town Tour. Jeremy was an excellent tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He was exceptionally knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the city and its history. Jeremy was an excellent story teller and had a great ability to be find the absolute correct balance between story-telling and fact.He was able to highlight important parts of the city, which we subsequently went back to later and visited at a slower pace.Jeremy was also very aware of the needs of his group. He was an expert in making us feel all 'included'; for example by mentioning the leaders of all our home countries and visits they may have made to Prague. He cared for his group by producing sun cream, always ensuring we were standing in the shade when information was being shared and he had a natural way of 'bringing together' the solo travellers in particular within our group. We saw two young female travellers from the US and Australia join the group as strangers, but leave together at the end with a very close bond.
I experienced great tour around Prague with Andy with my friends from Peru and we really enjoyed it! Andy is totally AMAZING guy!!! He has wide knowledge about Prague and the Czech history in general, and moreover, he can share it in very interesting and also amusing way. He is very smart, but also super funny. It was wonderful experience and I recommend the tour - and especially Andy - to anyone who would like to get to know Prague and its mayor touristic spots.

We took the Old Town tour, it was definitely one of the best free tours I have ever taken (and that is quite many). Mel is dynamic and really knows Prague's history in detail, so the time past by flying. The medium size of the group was also a plus, compared to other huge groups we saw around. I took two tours, the castle tour with Anna and the Old Town tour with Jeremy. Had an amazing time - the tour guides went above and beyond! Anna was showed us her favorite nooks by the castle where she liked to spend time, and as group we all got to bond a little during our time on the trip. Jeremy was an amazing historian/storyteller - learned so many legends about the city Prague and the history of the Czech Republic while wandering around the old city. Both guides even have QR codes for you to scan to see their favorite recommended taverns, restaurants, etc, which really shaped the places I ate at for the rest of my time in Prague! I can’t be happier with my walking tours with this company, the guides were amazingly entertaining, friendly, and knowledgeable.

My amazing tour guide Mel had lots of knowledge of the city and just as much enthusiasm!! Would highly recommend if you want to learn a lot about the city and learn hidden details throughout! Made sure that there was plenty of shady spots throughout the tour to discuss areas and to stay cool in the heat and spray water bottle was perfect for on the move!

We had a double feature with the one and only Mike. We had both the Old town tour and Prague Castle tour. They complete each other perfectly. And Mike was just wonderful, charming and knowledgeable. We had a great time and learnt a lot.
When I visit a new city I like to start with a walking tour because they usually give an overview of the sites and I decide from there what I will go back to visit. I didn’t do much research before visiting Prague so I was really hoping that the tour would give me some pointers, and it did! Jeremy was the guide for my tour and he has a lot of inside information about the history and lore of Prague. He stayed a few minutes after at the end to answer questions and give me so advice on what to see as well.For anyone unfamiliar with the free walking tour system, you do pay the guide at the end but you choose what to pay, taking into consideration the time of the tour and the amount of research your guide put in.

This tour is 100% worth it! Aris was an amazing guide with detailed explanations, delving into the complex history of this beautiful city. He did it in an interesting manner and packed in a huge amount of info in the 2 and half hour tour. He was thoughtful to our needs and checked in to make sure we were ok. Mel was an excellent guide! We did the Iconic Tour of Prague tour and it was a very nice experience. It’s a good way to learn about the history of Prague. Mel was very knowledgeable and was always happy to answer any questions that we have. She is friendly and also makes great recommendations for places to try after the tour. The tour ends with an amazing view of the Charles Bridge. I would defiantly recommend this if you want to learn more about the city or explore parts of the city you might not on your own.
A fabulous way to see the city, with someone who lives there, knows the best places to go and makes the stories come alive as you look at the spaces and places. Dylan was friendly, knowledgeable and thoughtful as he led us on a great overview of the Old Town. I enjoyed & found the tour helpful, so signed up for the Castle tour in the afternoon too. Made my visit to the interiors of buildings there the next day more meaningful. Recommended restaurants also were excellent.

What an excellent tour. Mike is a lot of fun. He really has a knowledge of history and politics and he and his family have lived through much of the political changes. Great sense of humor. He would be my first choice in taking a walk through history.Of note, the cathedral organ is under repairs so getting inside will require a paid separate ticket. One more reason to come back to Prague.

Did a free walking tour with Aris today of the old town, the new town and the Jewish quarter. He really brought it all to Life and was so knowledgeable that I wish we had done this yesterday. Specially in a city like Prague where all the signs and the names of the roads are in the Czech Language, it is very important for tourists who do not know the language to get an overview of the city. I did two tours with Prague Pulse Tours. Mike was a brilliant guide for the Prague Castle, and Jeremy did an excellent job the day before with the city centre tour.
In Prague, which has so much just to look at anyway, it’s hard for something to improve on that experience but that’s exactly what this walking tour did. Aris, our guide, was clearly interested in the socioeconomic history of his adopted county, knowledgeable about the past and gifted at making it relevant for the present. We deftly navigated the saturated tourist hotspots avoiding entanglement and moved swiftly on (down secret passages and lesser used streets) to calmer eddies for the next instalment of the Czech story. This is a ‘free’ aka pay what you feel service and we were left feeling the experience was well worth the 600 crowns we happily gave. Recommended.
We took a tour of old Prague with Ian. It was the vest tour we've ever had. Ian is very knowledgeable, his English is perfect, and he gave very valuable info about Chechia and Prague. We totally enjoyed it and highly recommend this tour.

We did the old town tour with Ian today and absolutely loved it! Ian not only shares a lot of interesting facts about various points in Prague's Old Town that we walked past yesterday without noticing them, but also answers questions and shares his best food spots in the city with you. We would have liked to have been on the tour on our first day, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. We can only recommend the tour and would do it again and again. 🙂

CAUTION: Mike is a time traveler! When you’re within audible range of Mike, time will fly at unexpected rates. After all, time flies when you’re having fun. If you want entertainment and information in the form of a walking entity, Mike is your guy. Expert handling and decent pace for my family of 6. Well worth the tour.
Mike was amazing. He is knowledgeable, passionate, and funny. We enjoyed the 2.5 hour Old Town and Jewish Quarter tour so much, that we went back later that day for the Prague Castle tour as well. He gives the perfect amount of information so that you feel well informed, but not bored by history. He is also a great conversationalist and makes you feel well taken care of when on his tours. I 100% recommend any tour with Mike.

We went on the old town the with Scott this morning. We highly recommend it, it gave a lot of historical and political context to Prague and Czech. We did the tour on our penultimate day in Prague but would suggest it for the first day, as Scott gave us a lot of tips in general for our stay in Prague and recommendations on what to see and where to eat and drink :)Also the 15 minute coffee break half way through was good for a small refresher

Overall, excellent! If you are looking for a tour guide in Prague who knows how to value the precious time of your trip, take a tour with Ian. He waits for the group to speak, makes strategic stops for bathrooms, knows a lot about local history, but doesn't pass on this knowledge in an encyclopedic and boring way. And he's also very friendly. I recommend him.
I've been on a lot of free walking tours in my life but this was undoubtedly the best I've experienced. Our tour guide, Aris, was knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging, he kept my attention the whole way through (a rarity for me)! I learnt a lot and the 3 hours whizzed by. Plus I appreciated the coffee break in the middle and the tips for where to eat and drink

The tour was fantastic, Aris was so knowledgeable he answered all the questions. Not only related to the tour but about anything else. We visited the castle and cathedral. He also had a list with a QR code with recommendations that we found very useful. Also he accepted credit card which is always useful specially if you don’t have local currency. We are frequent travellers and we have done several free tours and this one got us really impressed. We will definitely recommend you to book with them.

After living in Prague for more than 7 years, practically everything I heard on this tour was new to me! I learned history of the Old town and Jewish quarter, finally understood how to read the astronomical clock, and saw breathtaking views of the city and shortcuts I never knew existed. You can pay with card! We also accept Czech Crowns and Euros (although we ask you to refrain from Euro coins as we cannot exchange them).
Our tours run in rain, wind, or shine. Please do come in adequate clothing, the tours are outside, and Prague can be very cold in winter and very hot in summer!

Although you can technically see Prague Castle from many points on this tour, we do not go to the castle itself. This is the largest castle complex in the world, so it deserves the time and attention of its own tour!

Yes, everyone is welcome on the tours. Please be aware that Old Town’s cobbled streets are not the easiest for wheelchair users, but our guides will always help you where necessary.
Our guides will always remain at the meeting point for 5 minutes after the start time. After this, each guide takes a slightly different route and are not contactable during the tour. For this reason, we ask you to be at the meeting point on time or to please reschedule your tour for another time slot.
No, the synagogues are part of the Jewish Museum, a paid area we cannot enter during the tour. If you want to visit, we are happy to explain how to get a ticket for after the tour.
